Which letter should I use?
- A collector is contacting you and you're not sure the debt is valid → start with a Debt Validation Letter.
- Your credit report shows something inaccurate (wrong balance, account you don't recognize, incorrect late payment) → use a Credit Report Dispute Letter.
- You paid late once but have an otherwise strong history → try a Goodwill Letter.
- You want to settle a collection and get it removed → consider a Pay-for-Delete Letter.
- Someone opened accounts in your name → send an Identity Theft Dispute Letter.
